Video Game Review - Amazon New World

Amazon's new game Amazon New World is an upcoming massively multiplayer online role-playing game. In April of this year, Amazon confirmed that it has plans for Amazon New World. The game will be live from March of next year, though the final date is yet to be confirmed.

Amazon new world gold is an MMORPG. Unlike most online role-playing games, the emphasis is on crafting and developing character rather than combat. Players can construct their own cities, develop farms and work on labor and manufacturing jobs. They can participate in player driven conflicts and do battle with other players for power and control of the land. All of this is done with the use of crafting systems and a robust item system.

There are four playable factions in Amazon New World: the Horde, the Empire, the Resistance, and the undead. Each faction is represented by a primary race, which includes human, Gnome, Dwarf, Night Elf, and Draenei. Each faction has a variety of races available to them, as well as a variety of races available to choose from as expansion packs are released. There is also a special PvE faction, the Azjol-Nerub'hid.

Amazon New World is in development by a multi-disciplinary team led by lead designer Christian Lindqvist. The game's story is set in 20XX, a time when the powerful Amazonians are at war with the vicious Horde. As you would expect with an MMORPG, there will be a variety of quests to complete, and plenty of grinding to do as well. As far as leveling is concerned, expect to do some grinding around level 10 as the game progresses.

It is possible that Amazon New World might adopt some elements of the classic MMORPG experience. If this is the case, expect to see some familiar features, like monster player combat, a leveling system powered by dungeons and raids, and player housing within the cities. Like other Amazon games, there will be a variety of professions, such as Jewelcrafting, Fishing, Cooking, and Mining. Amazon New World is not scheduled to release for another two years, so it is hard to tell what the game's ultimate design will look like.

Some Amazon gamers are worried that the highly-competitive online gaming market will cause the game to suffer, seeing how similar it is to World of Warcraft. The Art team at Amazon New World has however taken note of the competitive nature of the game and has designed an extremely balanced and secure gameplay system. Amazon New World will still allow players to choose between several different factions, including the fiercely independent amazon tribe. Amazon New World is in development right now, and is expected to be released before the end of 2009.
