Social Media in 2021

What's Social Media?

This question might sound silly, but I'm sure there are people who don't know what social media is. I'll try to give you a brief explanation so we can get started. Social media is basically the use of websites and apps such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Vine and others to stay connected with family and friends. People use social media for many different reasons such as staying in touch with loved ones, sharing ideas or feelings about things that they love or hate (maybe both at the same time), and building their brand or business online by posting only positive information about themselves to their own profiles. It's important to remember that although all of this is true (and more), there are also people who take advantage of these sites for their own benefits; bullying other users on the internet using harsh words or actions is common among some users on all networks! I really like this quote from Neil DeGrasse Tyson: "The Earth isn't special because it's extraordinary; it's extraordinary because we're here." The Internet isn't special because it was created by humans; it was created so humans could connect with each other in real time regardless of distance! This quote reminds me how simple things in life come with great benefits! Let's move onto some examples now. Here are three popular social media platforms: Facebook, Twitter & Instagram. We were taking instagram photos on our phones hours before we even heard the word "Instagram" and Facebook and Twitter have been around for a long time too! All of these sites are essentially social media.

Social Media Tips: How to Stay Safe Online

Since we've discussed what social media is, let's move on to some safety tips. I try not to sound like your parent (unless you're my parent!) but as an 18-year-old college student who wants you guys to be safe online, I'm going to tell you some things that will help keep you safe. The first thing I want you all to know is that it's okay if some adults don't understand social media - they're not supposed to! They're out of touch with the times and technology; there's nothing wrong with that! We all grow up at different ages and stages in life, so don't feel bad about using social media; I think it helps us become more connected as a society. Social media can be used in many ways that are positive or negative depending on how people use it - just keep that in mind when posting your content online. My first tip to staying safe online is to keep your private information private. I know it's hard not to share every little detail of your life, but it's important that you don't! If you're posting pictures online, make sure you are only doing so with people who are okay with seeing the kind of content that the photo might include. You never know what other people can do with your photos or information; maybe they might post them for everyone else to see without your permission! Your second tip is learn how social media works before using it. Most young adults use social media now because they've grown up around technology their whole lives, so it feels natural for them now. But I want you guys who are younger than 18 to understand how these sites work before using them so if something happens later on in life (like getting hacked) you'll know what's going on and will be able to fix any problems quickly! My third tip is this: Don't respond to bullies or trolls - just ignore them! I'm sure this was a lot simpler growing up in an old school setting where bullying wasn't as popular as it is today. We all have mean classmates at school sometimes, but there was no way for kids like that (or adults like that) to get back at us unless we saw each other outside of school.

I want to take the time to explain what I'm working on right now when it comes to social media. I've been doing a lot of work in the last couple of months on my Facebook page, and that has led me into writing this article for you guys. I've worked hard at making my name more recognizable online, and using social media is the best way for me to do that! If you haven't already checked out my Facebook page, please do so by clicking here! On there you can find pictures from all kinds of events or parties I've gone to, along with other updates about college life! My next step involves Instagram - if you haven't yet followed me there so be sure to click here soon! If not already done, follow Twitter too by clicking here.
